Dr. Ukeje has over 19 years of BioPhrama drug product development experience ranging from concept to launch. An Associate Director, Global Pharmaceutical Technology (GPT), Science & Technology (S&T) Abbvie Inc with responsibility of leading global manufacturing activities and CDMO/TOM/CMO management. Prior to joining AbbVie, Dr. Ukeje held several professional and leadership positions in the industry including Subject Matter Expert (SME), Manager & Technology Transfer Lead at Pfizer Inc; Principal Consultant Engineer at Hospira’s differentiated drug delivery (DDD), Device section overseeing device development; Manager, Process Development and Clinical Supply at Nastech, a Biotech Company; Sr. Product Development Engineer at Catalent Pharma Solutions; Sr. Validation and Compliance Consultant at Johnson & Johnson and a Principal Scientist, Manufacturing Science at Morton Grove Pharma to mention, but a few.
Dr. Ukeje is a lead inventor of emulsion process patent, powder processing equipment trade secret and a well published author including the recently published work in the Journal of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, “Predevelopment Tasks for Drug Making”-Contract Service Playbook.
Dr. Ukeje received his Ph.D/DIC in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College, University of London (UK), M.Sc in Chemistry with focus in industrial chemistry from University of Lagos and B.Sc. Chemistry from University of Maiduguri (Nigeria). A member of several professional organizations including PDA and NAPPSA. NAPPSA Board Member and Editor-In-Chief of NAPPSA News Magazine, the Digest. Treasurer, Igbo Development Initiative (IDI), He is also socially active belonging to several community organizations and a Patron of Peoples Club of Nigeria International the foremost socio-cultural organization in Eastern Nigeria.
