About Us
Identity
Igbo Development Initiative (IDI) Inc. is an organization of likeminded Igbo intellectuals and professionals seeking to liberate our people from the scourges of externally induced disunity, state negligence, and deliberate underdevelopment.
Mission:
In our legendary self-help spirit, IDI Inc. seek to establish a financial institution that shall focus on financing a comprehensive development and industrialization of Igbo land. Our motto is Ukwu aziza. We are coming together to do something that no single Igbo man has yet done. In the course of our formation providence intervened and set a lofty and befitting target for us collectively knowing that Ndigbo do mighty things individually.
Where we Are:
The membership IDI Inc. is swelling with patriotic Igbo sons and daughters across the globe. This is exclusively made of Igbo compatriots who are fade up with the marginalization of Ndigbo, in the current Nigerian state; those who see the urgency of changing our narrative and collective destiny as a people, and want to showcase our unique desire for excellence and magnificence in our affairs.
Potential:
IDI Inc. is a for profit organization with one billion (1,000,000,000) share capital @ one thousand dollars (US$1000) per share, for a total of one trillion (1,000,000,000,000) dollars. This is a dream befitting only of Ndigbo, Umu Chukwu Okike Abiama.
This is our challenge and legacy to our posterity and humanity. The leadership of IDI have only provided the vision for our people to follow for where there is no vision the people perish. This is not one person’s agenda as we are all transient on this earth. It is for the ages. This initiative would be our permanent gift to our race and will awe humanity for ever.
The assumption behind this IDI initiative is that every Igbo sons and daughters both in the diaspora and at home who are blessed and able, should make, at least, a one thousand dollar-investment (US$1000) for the destiny of his or her people. These are the caliber of people who regularly attend cultural and fundraising event nearly weekly and easily give this amount. The difference is that this is their intentional down payment for and investment in the development, destiny, prosperity and arguably the survival of the Igbo race. (Maka na onye ajuru adighi aju onwe ya).
I don’t know about you, but as for me, I am willingly making my own token contribution to this noble cause. When the history is relayed centuries hence, let it be said this I made my own sacrifice of $1000 for the life and progress of the Igbo race. No one carries wealth to the grave.
May God bless our undertaking.
